About When We All Vote
A national, nonpartisan initiative on a mission to change the culture around voting and to increase participation in each election by helping to close the race and age gap.
The right to vote is the fundamental building blocks of our nation’s democracy. Yet systematic hurdles have curtailed certain sections of Americans’ right to vote. Voter suppression is any attempt to make it harder for voters’ voices to be heard. Voter suppression continues to be a challenge today, especially for Black and Brown voters, and young people. When We All Vote is a nonprofit organization tackling these systemic hurdles with the long-term goal of strengthening our democracy and creating an inclusive society for all. Created by first lady Michelle Obama, When We All Vote brings together individuals, institutions, brands, and organizations to register new voters across the country. The nonprofit is advancing civic education for the entire family and voters of every age to build an informed and engaged electorate for today and generations to come. When We All Vote is a nonpartisan organization committed to the fight for fair and safe elections and expanding access to ballot box including, vote by mail, early in-person voting and online voter registration
On the When We All Vote website, there are multiple resources for voters. On the website you can register to vote or check if you are registered to vote. They list the rights of a voter in the United States. The nonprofit also gives you resources to donate, volunteer or act to help fix voting related injustices.
When We All Vote hosted a Culture of Democracy Summit, earlier this June 2022 in Los Angles. At the summit dozens of speakers spoke their piece on the current state of voting in America. When We All Vote hosts events throughout the year from speaker series like the Culture and Democracy Summit as well as new voter registration drives. When We All Vote posted this summit and other interviews on their YouTube channel.
