What commitments have you let slip away since the elections?

Despite all the energy I put into the elections this year, I’m noticing that over the last few weeks I haven’t really thought about politics at all. I’ve let it all just slip out of mind.

It’s incredible how quickly I can fall into “We made it! All is well!”

All is not well. Trump is still in office. The Georgia runoffs are weeks away. And even if Democrats win in Georgia and Biden smoothly transitions into office, we will still be in the same systems of oppression, destruction, and greed with a fairly moderate leader at the helm.

It’s wonderful – even vital – to celebrate and bask in victories. And it’s vital to detach and recharge when needed. But it’s just as important to know when it’s time to jump back in. For me, that time is now.
