Stop expecting a just world

Share the story. Spark change.

Humans have a miraculous ability to envision better worlds. We constantly compare how the world is now against how we think it should be. No other creature we know of can do this. This is a gift.

But this gift is also the source of a lot of the pain. We can so easily imagine the world that we should have. It can be infuriating to see how far away we are from it.

Let go of the idea that the world is supposed to be the way you want it to be. Stop expecting a just world. The world isn’t supposed to be anything. It is what it is.

Once we stop believing we are owed the world we want, we immediately have more energy and resolve to go out and build it for ourselves.
